One Year Realist Sculpture Course
Be inspired by the art of anatomy
What is the course?
This one-year intensive sculpture course offers a unique chance to learn the skills needed to create truly realistic figure and animal sculptures and the techniques required to master our twenty-first century understanding of the human anatomy. It does not just give you a certificate, it gives you an education for life!
The course is an immersion into the world of sculpture, where you will learn every aspect of the business from one of the world’s finest figurative sculptors, Andrew Sinclair MRSS SWAc at his professional working studio and sculpture school. You will learn practical skills and techniques for creating realist figurative sculpture and will be guided from the initial design of your projects to creation and completion. It is an exclusive opportunity to learn first-hand from professionals in a commercial sculpture environment, preparing you for a career as a sculptor. You will discover how a sculpture business works; what working to commission involves, marketing etc. with a short series of lectures and talks by guest sculptors and business experts within the industry.
Who is the course for?
For anyone wishing to develop a career in realist sculpture, this is a must. This is for students who wish to ‘fast-track’ the technical skills needed to create realist sculpture through hands-on practical experience rather than through a theory-based course. Tutor/student contact time is in excess of 30 hours during each 4-day workshop.
